Letter Confirms Comey Planned to Exonerate Clinton BEFORE Witnesses Questioned

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., sent a letter to new FBI Director Christopher Wray, asking for documents and an answer to why fired FBI Director James Comey sent a draft letter to his senior officials exonerating Hillary Clinton either in April or May while none of the key witnesses had even been questioned.

When you couple that with the fact that Comey exonerated Clinton using a law he made up rather than existing law, something smells to high heaven  The law states that there does not have to be intent to be in violation of the Espionage Act, only careless handling of classified information, which Comey did say Hillary was guilty of during his press conference.

Let me run a possible scenario past you real quick.  We know that Comey wanted to keep his job.  We also know that Loretta Lynch told Comey to stop calling it an investigation and to refer to it as a “matter.”  We know that after Lynch’s meeting with Bill Clinton, Hillary said she would keep Lynch as the head of the DOJ.

With that in mind, earlier in the year all the liberals, including the duplicitous Comey, thought Hillary Clinton was a shoo in.  He had two choices.  He could either recommend for or against charges against Hillary.  He knew if he recommended for the charges, Hillary would fire him.

He saw no downside to angering Trump because he never thought he would win.  And that’s why he let her off the hook — to save his job even if that meant trashing the rule of law and stabbing Americans in the back.  Does that sound reasonable to you?  Me too.

According to Townhall:

“According to the unredacted portions of the transcripts, it appears that in April or early May of 2016, Mr. Comey had already decided he would issue a statement exonerating Secretary Clinton. That was long before FBI agents finished their work. Mr. Comey even circulated an early draft statement to select members of senior FBI leadership. The outcome of an investigation should not be prejudged while FBI agents are still hard at work trying to gather the facts,” the letter, signed by Chairman Chuck Grassley and Committee member Lindsey Graham states. “Conclusion first, fact-gathering second—that’s no way to run an investigation. The FBI should be held to a higher standard than that, especially in a matter of such great public interest and controversy.”

“It is unclear whether the FBI agents actually investigating the case were aware that Mr. Comey had already decided on the investigation’s outcome while their work was ongoing. However, it appears that the answer to that question may be underneath some of the extensive redactions that the Department made to the transcripts,” the letter continues.

According to the letter and an ongoing investigation into the matter, Comey started drafting a statement exonerating Clinton in April or May of 2016. At this point, he had not interviewed Clinton herself or her closest aides. This included Bryan Pagliano, who set up the personal server where Clinton hosted and shared top secret information, and Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, who was granted immunity. On July 5, 2016, Comey made his public statement that the FBI would not be referring Clinton to the Department of Justice for prosecution.

I predict a special prosecutor in the future investigating Comey and Lynch.  The right people are in charge of the DOJ and FBI to do it.
